Your Boxing Gym's Next 90 Days: Turn Equipment Notes into an Order Plan

Equipment orders often become urgent because several small changes arrive together: a new beginner intake, an extra evening class, and a few pairs taken out of use. A rolling 90-day plan gives those changes somewhere to go before they become a last-minute purchase.

Write down what is changing

Start with confirmed timetable changes, expected member intakes and any events that affect equipment demand. Separate firm commitments from ideas. A possible extra class should not automatically trigger the same purchase as one already open for bookings.

Ask coaches to add current shortages and items awaiting assessment. Use the same product names and units throughout the list so “six gloves” is not mistaken for “six pairs.”

Build three working lists

Keep one list for immediate requirements, one for the next likely order, and one for optional improvements. This helps you protect the essential purchases when several people request equipment at once.

  • Immediate: confirmed gaps affecting scheduled sessions.
  • Next order: expected demand supported by bookings or use records.
  • Optional: ideas to review after priorities are covered.

Attach quantities, the reason for each line and the person responsible for confirming it. Where specifications are undecided, assign that decision before requesting final pricing.

Ask about timing before you promise availability

For custom products, discuss sample approval, artwork, production and delivery as separate steps. Get the expected timeline for your actual order in writing. Do not assume a previous order's timing applies to a different product or a larger quantity.

Allow time to receive and check the equipment before announcing it is ready for members. Where an arrival date is still an estimate, describe it honestly.

Review briefly and regularly

At a monthly check-in, compare the plan with actual class attendance and usable stock. Remove requests that are no longer needed, update quantities, and confirm what is ready to quote. Keep older versions so changes are understandable.

The plan does not need to predict every problem. Its value is making the next decision easier: what to order, why it is needed and who has approved it.
