What Happens After You Approve an OEM Boxing Glove Sample?
Approving a sample is an important milestone, but it is not the end of product development. The next step is turning that approved example into a production reference that everyone can follow.
Record what was approved
Keep the approved sample, final artwork, material choice, colour references, closure type, labels and packaging notes together. If a change is requested later, write it down and confirm whether another approval is needed. A dated record is much safer than relying on a long chat history.
Confirm the order breakdown
Before production starts, confirm quantities by style, colour and size or weight, along with agreed pricing, payment terms, packing method and destination. Each variation should have a clear name or code so there is no confusion about what belongs in the order.
Use the sample as a reference
Identify which features are fixed and which may vary within agreed manufacturing tolerances. This can include logo position, stitching, panel shape, wrist closure and padding feel. A reference sample and approved artwork give the team something concrete to check against.
Check the bulk run at planned stages
Agree when workmanship, logo alignment, pair matching, size labels and carton quantities should be checked. Quality checks during production can make it easier to discuss a concern before the shipment is closed.
Keep records for reorders
Save the final specification and approval notes. They make repeat orders easier and help everyone identify what has changed if the next collection is different.
