Private-Label Combat Sports Apparel: Shorts, Rash Guards and Compression Wear
Brands that already sell gloves sometimes want to expand into shorts, rash guards or compression wear. Apparel needs its own specification: glove details do not answer questions about stretch, fit, seams or garment grading.
Start with the intended activity
Training shorts, grappling shorts and compression garments have different needs. Decide how the product should fit, how much movement it must allow and whether it is intended for striking, grappling or mixed training.
Specify the fabric and feel
Identify the fabric composition you want to explore, preferred stretch and recovery, thickness or weight if known, and finish. If you have a reference garment, provide measurements and explain what you like about it. A reference helps but should not replace written specifications.
Build a measurement-based size chart
Provide garment measurements and explain how to measure them. Depending on the style, this may include waist, hip, inseam, outseam, chest, body length or sleeve length. Size labels alone are not enough because fit preferences vary by market.
Plan artwork around seams and stretch
Review logo placement, print size and colour blocking on the garment layout. Stretch fabrics can change how a graphic looks when worn, while seams limit where marks can be placed. Confirm the final layout before bulk work.
Quote the actual assortment
Include garment type, reference photos, size chart, fabric preferences, artwork, estimated quantity by size and destination market. Identify what is confirmed and what you want the manufacturer to advise on. Boxing Forge manufactures combat sports equipment and sportswear and can discuss whether your concept suits an OEM project.
