Repeat OEM Orders: Keeping Boxing Glove Designs Consistent

Repeat OEM Orders: Keeping Boxing Glove Designs Consistent

Once customers start reordering, a boxing brand needs its products to remain recognisable from one batch to the next. The best way to help is to keep a reliable record of what was approved.

Maintain one master specification

Store material, construction notes, panel layout, closure, labels, logo files, colours, sizes and packaging in one controlled document. Add a revision date and identify which version applies to the next order. Avoid asking a supplier to reconstruct an old order from scattered messages.

Save the approved artwork

Keep final production files separate from early concepts. Name files with a style code and revision number. If the logo, colour or placement changes, record it and ask for confirmation before production.

Use clear colour references

Screen colours vary by display and lighting. If colour consistency matters, agree a suitable reference and how it will be used. Keep the approved reference with the product record so future discussions start from the same point.

Record changes explicitly

A reorder may need a new size mix, label or packaging. List those differences clearly. If the product should remain unchanged, say so and identify the approved sample or reference batch.

Learn from the last delivery

Record customer feedback, returns, product issues and packaging concerns. Use evidence to decide whether the next order needs an adjustment. Start reorder conversations early enough to confirm production and freight timing rather than assuming every run will take exactly the same time.
